Summary: There's a classical phobia that involves the fear of accidentally drowning in a tub, or really any body of water. It's not an unfounded fear, seeing how slow and painful the process of drowning can really be. Now imagine a monster that runs on that concept and spits on your fear of it.

History: In life, Sebastian Donner was an awful killer who reveled in hearing the heartbeats of his drowning victims. Then one night, one of said victims drowned him instead, but he mysteriously disappeared upon dying. As it turns out, he had become the Drownsman, an evil spirit that can appear in any body of water to drag people into a murky abyss where they drown and die. Bad news for the friends of a hydrophobic, who accidentally got his attention trying to help her.

Final Fate: The Drownsman is seemingly killed when the hydrophobe stabs him with flares several times before escaping his realm via drowning. Then he appears again out of nowhere. Darn.

Powers/Abilities: Can appear in any body of water, and upon dragging people under, he takes them to a mirror world where he rules and can do whatever.

Weakness: Anything conventional can drive him off.

Scariness Factor: 3.5-Aside from looking like a guy who came out of the mire (the lips are a bit distracting), Drownsman lives up to his name and then some. It was bad enough that he could show up in a lake or a tub, but he'll draw out your demise to the point where you wish it was just a drowning affair.

Trivia: -The Drownsman was played by Ry Barrett, who has equal love for directing, acting, and musical jobs.

-This film was directed by Chad Archibald, creator of Black Fawn Films and a frequent director/producer of humanoid horror movies.
